Reliably clears out dust produced by intense friction

When materials in the pad's friction compound burn at high temperature, they release gas that gets between the pad and rotor and reduces braking — this is called brake fade. A slot in the center of the pad efficiently vents the gas and pad debris to maintain stable braking.

Chamfer cut to reduce squeal

Sharp pad edges cause unpleasant noise under braking, so the edges are chamfered to minimize brake squeal.

No extra heat treatment needed

Pre-heat-treated (scorched) to burn off unneeded material from manufacturing, suppressing the gases that cause fade. Just bed them in after purchase and they're ready to use with confidence.

Rigid backing plate that resists distortion

A backing plate must withstand the piston's strong pressure without distorting. If it distorts, the friction material can peel off and cause a serious accident. Backing plates are normally steel; ours use a steel plate 20% stronger than OEM for ample strength.
