D-MAX Power Steering Rack, LHD (240SX S13 / A31)

With modern extended front lower arms, high-angle knuckles and high-grip tires, the load on the power steering rack has increased, and seals often blow because they can't withstand the pressure. OEM racks have become very expensive, and with so many failures, rebuilt units are also in short supply, so D-MAX offers this product to reduce the burden when a rack blows. Left-hand-drive racks are rare, so we recommend buying one as a spare.
Steering rack durability varies greatly with power steering fluid, so D-MAX recommends SUNOCO fluid, proven on our D1GP competition cars.

Notes

*Not compatible with HICAS-equipped vehicles.
*Fits the 240SX (S14 chassis), but the oil line angle and mount bushings are different.

About installation

*The steering center may be slightly off, so before installation always adjust the steering rack to the correct position and confirm there is no misalignment.
*When installing the adapter: with the OEM rack, when fitting steering angle rings or similar, it is 7mm on the driver side and 14mm on the passenger side. With our rack, it is 9mm on both sides.
*Cannot be overhauled.
