An adjustable sway bar link (stabilizer link) is the rod that connects the sway bar to the suspension. At stock ride height, the angle between the sway bar and link is close to 90 degrees on nearly every vehicle, but lowering the car changes that angle, so the sway bar no longer works as designed — left/right stroke changes, roll control decreases and ride quality suffers. On a lowered car, adjustable links let you restore the stock angle so the sway bar performs as intended.
