MCR Factory Zombie Knuckle for Nissan *S13 / S14 / S15. A new-generation drift knuckle designed by D1 driver Masashi Yokoi (MCR Factory). It reaches about 65° of steering angle without moving the steering rack — and because camber change while steering is small, the outside edge of the tire does not wear the way it does with typical high-angle knuckles. KZY123 is MCR Factory's first official overseas dealer.
- Fitment: Nissan Silvia S14 / S15 (240SX S14). *Also fits S13 (240SX S13) when used with S14 lower arms.
- Cast knuckle (no core exchange required)
- Recommended tie rod end: D-MAX extended type
Note: S-chassis tie rods come in two thread sizes, M12 or M14, depending on the chassis and whether the car has HICAS. Please check the thread size of the tie rods currently on your car before choosing a tie rod end. - Recommended lower arm: 25–35mm extended (Kazama Auto Super Extended Front Lower Arms)
- Tension rod: clearance-type recommended (D-MAX tension rod Ver.3)
- Recommended wheel/tire: 17x8.5 +12, 235/40R17
Setup guide from the designer (Masashi Yokoi) — S14 chassis
This is a new-era knuckle — it needs a different way of thinking from conventional angle knuckles. Please follow these points:
- Lower arm: extend up to 35mm maximum.
- Upper mount: set it as upright as possible. If you need more camber, lean it at the coilover bracket instead.
- Steering rack: do not use a rack adapter and do not relocate the rack. Use the stock crossmember. (Masashi runs Ikeya tie rods with D-MAX extended tie rod ends.)
- Ride height: set it so the tie rod is about parallel to the ground (the lower arm will sit slightly past level).
- Alignment: caster about 6°50', camber about 5–6°, toe to preference (total toe-out 1–2°). You can run less camber because the knuckle has little camber change at full lock.
- Spacers: 20mm usually clears; use more if the tire still contacts (varies by car).
- Toe when jacked up: toe moves about 1–2° toward toe-in with the car in the air — keep this in mind.
- Lock angles: measure left and right lock with a level app. The inside wheel must never overtake the outside wheel — if it does, add caster. With the car jacked up and the wheel at full lock, aim for the outside wheel to be about 2–3° ahead.
- Steering stopper: because of the large angle, a front stopper is required if you left-foot brake.
- Sway bar: remove the front sway bar.
- Clearance: make sure the tire never touches the tension rod or the wheel well. Trim or reshape any contact points.
Reference alignment (Masashi's D1 car): 35mm extended lower arm, 30mm wide spacer, caster 6.5°, camber 6.5°, total toe-out 1°.
