Works Bell RAPFIX Short Boss Kit — Toyota 86 / Scion FR-S / Subaru BRZ / GR86

A standard boss plus a quick release can put the wheel too far out. The RAPFIX Short Boss Kit is designed specifically for use with the RAPFIX, shortening the stack so the wheel sits closer to the dash — exactly what you want for a proper drift seating position. 542S and 543S are certified parts for the Toyota Gazoo Racing GR86/BRZ Cup.

Fitment / Notes

• 540S — Early Toyota 86 ZN6 (Apr 2012–Jul 2016) / Subaru BRZ ZC6 (Mar 2012–Jul 2016). Matches standard boss 540/541.
• 542S — Late Toyota 86 ZN6 / Subaru BRZ ZC6 (Aug 2016 on). Matches standard boss 542. Using it with the 542SSTS switch relocation kit requires the extension harness.
• 543S — Some Toyota GR86 ZN8 / Subaru BRZ ZD8 (2021 on). Works Bell's flowchart pairs it with RAPFIX II or RAPFIX GTC depending on configuration; with 542SSTS it needs the T1–T4 extension harness matched to your connector. GR86 ZN8 Applied D and later: fitment unconfirmed by Works Bell. Contact us so we can check the flowchart for your car.
• Dates are Japanese production dates; US model years differ (ZN6/ZC6 sold in the US as Scion FR-S / Toyota 86 / Subaru BRZ for 2013–2020 model years). Verify fitment before ordering.
• Requires a Works Bell RAPFIX quick release (sold separately).
• All of these cars have an SRS airbag. The airbag warning light may not turn off on some vehicles; a U-Turn Harness (sold separately) is used on the airbag coupler. Functions operated only from the OEM wheel switches become unusable unless relocated with the 542SSTS kit (late ZN6/ZC6 and ZN8/ZD8).
